What are Rooms?
Rooms section refers to the Rooms in your hotel. To access this section, click on the "door" icon in the side menu of the Marketplace.
Our system synchronizes Rooms seamlessly with your Property Management System (PMS), meaning we directly retrieve the Rooms you have set up in your PMS and reflect them in our system.
How can I Create Rooms?
The Rooms are created by synchronizing them with your PMS. To do this, all you need to do is click on the "Synchronize with PMS" button.
In the "Room Types" section, you can see a summary of your Rooms:
- Room position: Room position; the order of the Rooms does not affect the booking flow.
- Name: Room name.
- Description: Room description.
- Minimum occupancy: Minimum number of guests that can stay in that Room.
- Maximum occupancy: Maximum number of guests that can stay in that Room.
- Partner ID: Room ID of that specific Room in your PMS.
How can I Manage my Rooms?
Moreover, from this same section, you can perform different actions:
- Sort: You can arrange the order of the Rooms as you prefer by clicking on the "up" and "down" arrows to change the position of a Room. Note that the order of the Rooms does not affect the booking flow; it is merely for visual organization.
- View: Clicking on the "eye" icon allows you to view the complete information about the Room. In addition to the previously mentioned information, you can see the Room ID and the Room name in the PMS. If you wish to delete the Room, you can do so by clicking the "delete" button.
- Edit: Clicking on the "document" icon allows you to edit the Room information. Keep in mind that the only fields you can edit are the name, description, minimum occupancy, and maximum occupancy. Besides, you can view the Room ID and Room name in the PMS. If you make any changes, you will need to save them by clicking the "change" button. If you wish to delete the Room, you can do so by clicking the "delete" button.
⚠️IMPORTANT: We strongly advise against manually modifying Room information within GRS. We always recommend doing it directly in your PMS and subsequently syncing the information. Additionally, be aware that modifying or deleting a Room and then syncing may result in the reappearance of deleted rooms, with the changes not being retained.
📝NOTE: When a reservation or option is recorded in the PMS, the "PMS Room ID" is the one that will be displayed for that reservation in the PMS.
