What is a Booking Engine?
A Booking Engine enables Buyers to book rooms directly on the Hotel's website, automating the process from availability to payment. It allows them to select dates, number of guests, room type, etc. With GRS's Booking Engine, Hoteliers can offer a specific Booking Engine for groups, bookings of 10 or more guests. To access this section, click on the "collage" icon in the side menu of the Marketplace.
How can I Configure my Booking Engine?
To configure the GRS Booking Engine, Hoteliers must have completed the GRS onboarding process. This includes creating the hotel, rate plans, and rooms, linking availability and pricing with your PMS, and setting up a Stripe account connected with GRS.
⚠️IMPORTANT:
- Please provide your Stripe Connect ID to your designated contact within GRS.
- Ensure at least one of your Rate Plans is enabled for the Booking Engine (we recommend enabling all Rack Rate Plans at minimum).
Subsequently, you can customize your Booking Engine. When setting up your Booking Engine, you will need to provide the following information:
- Your booking engine URL: The URL for your Group Reservations Booking Engine will be the link you need to add to your corporate website, send via email, or utilize as it best fits your company's strategy. This URL cannot be modified.
- Origin URL: Add the URL of your corporate website where you will embed the iframe.
- Hotel name: Name of your hotel (you can see in the image below how it will appear).
- Booking engine description: Text about your hotel or slogan (you can see in the image below how it will appear).
- Primary color: Icon color (person, star, etc.).
- Secondary color: Button color (add, subtract, search, etc.).
- Image file: Background image of the booking engine (you can see in the image below how it will appear).
After customization, seamlessly integrate the iframe into your corporate website. You can then share the URL ("Your Booking Engine URL") via email or other means. At this point, you'll need to determine your company's strategy for leveraging the new Booking Engine for group reservations. Its appearance will be similar to the following:
