What is Payment Protection?
The Payment Protection Module empowers hoteliers to securely connect with their Payments Channel through Civitfun, enabling guests to securely pay all their charges at any point during their guest journey. This module can operate independently or seamlessly integrate with other contracted modules, such as check-in and check-out, allowing for autonomous use or collaboration with other processes as required.
What is the Set Up for the Payment Protection Module?
The set up process for the Payment Protection Module consists of one or two steps:
- Establish connection with your Payments Channel
- If you wish to use the Payment Protection Module independently, you'll need to define your communication strategy with guests for the seamless payment of their charges.
What will be the Guest Workflow?
Once the connection with your Payments Channel is established, the Payment Protection Module will automatically integrate into the workflow of all modules contracted by the hotelier (such as check-in, check-out, etc.).
It is also possible to use the Payment Protection Module independently. To do so, you'll need to share the payment link with your guests so they can settle all their charges.
Thus, depending on how the guest arrives to the process, the flow will vary. In the first case, they will directly see the payment summary screen with the amount, whereas if they are following the independent module flow, depending on the chosen communication strategy, they will either go to the search form or the payment summary screen with the amount.
- Search form: If "Search form link"communication strategy is chosen, the guest will encounter the following screen and will need to search for their locator and arrival date.
- Payment summary: If the guest arrives at the payment screen from the flow of another module (e.g., check-in), or if a "Deeplink" is chosen, or once the guest has entered their locator and arrival date in the search form, they will encounter the following screen, where they will see their carges and will need to select if they want to pay now or later (as long as the hotel has configured these two options).
- Pay now: If "I want to make the payment at this time" is selected, guests will be directed to the payment screen of the payment channel connected to the hotelier, where they will need to enter their card details.
- Pay later: If "I don't want to make the payment at this time" is selected, the guest will proceed with the process without paying.
