What are Services, Products and Transfers?
Items section refers to the Services, Products and Transfers offered by your hotel. Within this section, you will define and list all available options for each category.
To access this section, click on the button that says "Items" in the side menu of the Dashboard.
How can I Create an Item?
Items are created manually via the Civitfun dashboard, accessed through the "Items" section. To create one, click on the "Create Room" button.
When creating Items, you will first need to select whether you want to create a service, product, or transfer:
How can I Create a Service?
When creating Services, you will need to provide information in the following fields:
- Language: You need to translate the service (service name, description and terms and policies) into all enabled languages. To accomplish this, choose a language, input all the necessary details, save your work, switch languages, and repeat the process.
- Item Type: Service, Product or Transfer.
- Title: Name of the Service.
- Description: Service description.
- Terms and conditions: Terms and Conditions of Service, including Cancellation Policies
- Photo Gallery: Service Images. You can upload a maximum of 5 images, easily arranging them with the drag-and-drop feature or removing them as needed. The first image will serve as the primary one, displayed in a larger format.
- Service availability: You can create multiple service slots corresponding to the available possibilities. For example, you can create a slot with specific days and hours available for summer and a different one for winter.
- Title: Specify the name of the slot, such as the combination of available days and times, for example, summer, winter, mornings, afternoons, etc.
- Start date and end date: Specify the start and end dates for the slot you are creating. For example, "Summer" could be available from 01/06/2024 to 01/09/2024, or "Mornings" could be available from 01/01/2024 to 31/12/2024.
- Total available persons per slot: The number of people who can make a reservation for a specific combination of days and times.
- Days of availability: Combination of days and hours when the service is available, you will need to create as many time slots as there are options. For example, if the service is a tour available every day at 09:00 and 12:00, you will need to add these two options for each day of the week.
- Price: Specify the price per person for the service.
How can I Create a Product?
When creating Products, you will need to provide information in the following fields:
- Language: You need to translate the product (product name, description and terms and policies) into all enabled languages. To accomplish this, choose a language, input all the necessary details, save your work, switch languages, and repeat the process.
- Item Type: Service, Product or Transfer.
- Title: Name of the Product.
- Available Quantity: Number of items available to request in a single reservation.
- Description: Product description.
- Terms and conditions: Terms and Conditions of the Product, including Return Policies
- Photo Gallery: Product Images. You can upload a maximum of 5 images, easily arranging them with the drag-and-drop feature or removing them as needed. The first image will serve as the primary one, displayed in a larger format.
- Price: Specify the price per item.
How can I Create a Transfer?
When creating Transfers, you will need to provide information in the following fields:
- Language: You need to translate the service (transfer name, description and terms and policies) into all enabled languages. To accomplish this, choose a language, input all the necessary details, save your work, switch languages, and repeat the process.
- Item Type: Service, Product or Transfer.
- Title: Name of the Transfer.
- Description: Transfer description.
- Terms and conditions: Terms and Conditions of Transfer, including Cancellation Policies
- Photo Gallery: Transfer Images. You can upload a maximum of 5 images, easily arranging them with the drag-and-drop feature or removing them as needed. The first image will serve as the primary one, displayed in a larger format.
- Service availability: You can create multiple transfer slots corresponding to the available possibilities. For example, you can create a slot with specific days and hours available for summer and a different one for winter, or one slot only for one-way trips, others for return trips, and others for round trips.
- Trip type: One way, Return Only or Round Trip.
- Title: Specify the name of the slot, such as the combination of available days and times or tripe types, for example, summer, winter, mornings, afternoons, one way, return only etc.
- Start date and end date: Specify the start and end dates for the slot you are creating. For example, "Summer" could be available from 01/06/2024 to 01/09/2024, or "Mornings" could be available from 01/01/2024 to 31/12/2024.
- Total available persons per slot: The number of people who can make a reservation for a specific combination of trip type, days and times.
- Days of availability: Combination of days and hours when the service is available, you will need to create as many time slots as there are options. For example, if the service is a tour available every day at 09:00 and 12:00, you will need to add these two options for each day of the week.
- Price: Specify the price per person and trip. In other words, the Round Trip fare will be double the amount specified here, as it includes both the outbound and return trips.
How can I Manage my Items?
Once you have created your Services, Product and Transfers, you will view them it in the "Items" section. Here, you can see a summary of your Items:
- Item ID: Item ID within Civitfun.
- Status: Active or Disabled. When it's "Active", guests will be able to request the item. However, if it is 'Disabled,' guests will not see that specific item and consequently will not be able to request it. If no items are active, the guest will be notified that no cross-sellings are available.
- Picture: Primary image of the item.
- Item Type: Service, Product or Transfer.
- Item Title: Name of the Service, Product, or Transfer.
- Hotel Name
Moreover, from this same section, you can perform different actions:
- See Details: If you wish to edit a item, click on the "See Details" button. You'll be able to edit all fields of the item.
- Active/Disable: You can activate or disable an item. When it's "Active", guests will be able to request the item. However, if it is 'Disabled,' guests will not see that specific item and consequently will not be able to request it. If no items are active, the guest will be notified that no cross-sellings are available.
- Delete: If you wish to delete a item, click on the "Delete" button. A pop-up will appear asking if you are sure you want to delete this item. If so, click on "Delete Item".
