β I received a communication from Civitfun with a list of IP addresses. What does it mean?
This communication is informative.
It means that Civitfun has updated its public IP addresses used to connect to external systems, such as PMS or other integrations.
β Do I need to do anything?
In most cases, you do not need to do anything.
You only need to take action if your system or provider requires IP whitelisting to allow external connections.
π¨ Why did I receive this communication if I do not need to do anything?
The communication was sent to all customers as a preventive measure.
Since some integrations depend on whitelisted IPs and others do not, we shared this information globally so that any customer who needs it can take action in advance.
π How do I know if this applies to me?
You may need to take action if:
- Your system is behind a firewall.
- Your PMS is hosted on-premise.
- Your provider uses IP-based access control.
If your system is cloud-based, SaaS, and you have never configured IP restrictions, you probably do not need to do anything.
β οΈ What happens if I ignore this message?
If your system does not rely on IP restrictions, nothing will happen.
If it does rely on them, you may experience connection issues in the future if the new IP addresses are not allowed.
π Is there a deadline?
No, there is no strict deadline.
However, if your system requires whitelisting, we recommend applying it proactively.
π« Should I remove the current IP addresses?
No.
Do not remove or replace existing IP addresses, as this could affect integrations that are currently working.
π© What should I do if I am not sure?
Check with your IT team or your PMS/system provider.
