What is Cross-Selling?
The Cross-Selling Module empowers hoteliers to enhance their guests' stay by offering additional services and products. This module can operate independently or seamlessly integrate with check-in module. In other words, the Cross-Selling Module can be used independently by sharing a cross-selling link with guests, allowing them to select extra services or products to enrich their experience, or it can be integrated with the check-in module.
What is the Set Up for the Cross-Selling Module?
The set up process for the Cross-Selling Module consists of two steps:
- Create all existing services and products on the Civitfun dashboard.
- If you wish to use the Cross-Selling Module independently, you'll need to define your communication strategy with guests to inform them that they have the option to request a service or product.
- Whether you use the Cross-Selling module independently or embedded in the check-in process, activate the request, approval, and rejection emails in Guestlink.
What will be the Guest Workflow?
Once the Cross-Selling module set up is complete, it will seamlessly integrate into the check-in workflow, allowing guests to easily request additional services and products. It is also possible to use the Cross-Selling Module independently. To do so, you'll need to share the Cross-Selling link with your guests so they can request an additional product or service. Thus, depending on how the guest arrives to the process, the flow will vary.
In the first case, seamlessly integrated into the check-in workflow, guests will see the additional service and product options immediately after completing the check-in form. If they choose to select an additional service or product, they will be notified on the same screen that the request has been sent, and they will continue with the check-in process.
- Additional product and service options: Once the guest has completed the check-in form, they will encounter the following screen. Here, they will find all available products and services based on the days of their stay.
If guests do not wish to request any additional products or services, they can simply press the "Continue" button to proceed with the check-in process.
- Request cross-sell: Once the guests have selected the product or service they wish, they will be directed to the following screen. Here, they can find additional information about the product or service and proceed to request the cross-sell.
Additionally, they will receive a notification on the same screen upon pressing the "continue" button that the request will be sent. The hotelier will automatically receive an email notification of the request. If the hotelier approves the product or service request, the guest will receive an approval email along with the payment link (provided the hotelier has the payment protection module). If the request is rejected, the guest will receive a rejection notification via email.
In the second case, when used independently, guests will also directly see product and service options. However, once they select an option, they will receive a notification that the request has been sent, and the process will conclude.
- Product and service options: Once the guest has clicked on the deeplink in the email they received, they will encounter the following screen. Here, they will be presented with all available product and services based the days of their stay.
- Request cross-sell: Once the guests have selected the product or service they wish, they will be directed to the following screen. Here, they can find additional information about the product or service and proceed to request the cross-sell.
- Cross-sell requested: Finally, the guest will see a screen confirming that the cross-sell request has been successfully submitted. The hotelier will automatically receive an email notification of the request. If the hotelier approves the product or service request, the guest will receive an approval email along with the payment link (provided the hotelier has the payment protection module). If the request is rejected, the guest will receive a rejection notification via email.
