In the Online Check-in form, the second surname field may appear as mandatory or follow your general account configuration (hidden, optional, or mandatory), depending mainly on the document country.

For the following countries, when the guest selects an ID document or passport from that country, the system assumes that the second surname is required (either by legal requirements or best practices) and may automatically set the field as mandatory:

The second surname field in these cases:
- Will be shown or hidden based on your general configuration in Civitfun.
- If set as optional, it will appear as optional.
- If set as mandatory, it will appear as mandatory.
- If set as hidden, it will not appear in the form.
👀 Behaviour when no nationality is selected
While the guest has not selected a nationality, the form cannot apply these country-specific rules. In this case, the second surname field behaves exactly according to your account configuration (hidden, optional, or mandatory), with no additional adjustments based on destination.
